New

It's a new year since I last posted and I now have a new computer so this means I will try to post more often. So far 2012 has been good. I finally paid off the ex-boyfriends motorcycle and my furniture loan. I actually can start saving now! I have been treating myself to some new things though. I got the Fossil wallet and purse I've been eyeing for a little while now and my new iMac computer.

My goal is to start paying off the rest of my credit cards and be in my own apartment by next year. I also went to Arizona for Angel's Spring Training, joined a Softball gym, and went Vegas to see Elton John. I got a gym pass, a juicer, and just re-started Weight Watchers. I'm looking to make changes to my life and stick to them.

Hair

I've been watching some videos online on how to do different hair styles on yourself.
Yesterday I tried the french braid side bun.



I love the way the back looked. How the top is blonde and the bottom is brown. It was tough to do myself but I'm going to keep practicing so I can throw this in the rotation of hair styles. :) I want to start trying new things with my hair.

DIY birthday presents

It was my good friend Valerie's birthday on the 31st of August. She loves wine so I decided to make some wine theme gifts.

I made her some coasters with wine corks on top.


I also made some fridge magnets for her fridge with extra wine corks.


Them my favorite gift of hers that I made her was a personalized wine glass.



Then I wrapped with the custom wrapping paper of a trader joes bag inside out with ribbon, and paper flowers I made. :)


I love the way everything turned out. I love homemade birthday gifts.

An upside

I found out some good news this week. My friend, Timmy who was found dead last month in Colorado and I flew out to his funeral didn't commit suicide like we all thought. He had a natural heart attack. A heart attack at 27 years old... Crazy but it somehow puts my mind at rest.
I still think of him often and miss his laugh.

Lonely

I'm starting to get lonely.
I have tons of people in my life but I'm not getting the attention I'd like. I haven't been on one date this year. I haven't even kissed one guy this year. Heck, I haven't kissed a guy since October of last year.
All around me everyone is coupled up. I'm constantly reminded that I'm completely single and not even talking to anyone right now.
The more I think about it or have it in my face, the more I get depressed and feel lonely.

It sucks. I wish I could just be 100% independent.

Disgusted

I was put in a situation last night that I was so uncomfortable with.
The night was so fun until I walked into a hotel room where people were gathered around the coffee table doing lines of coke.
I was suddenly 12 again walking in on my parents doing lines.
I was disgusted with every person I saw and started getting a slight anxiety attack. I stood outside of the hotel room until they were done and I was sober enough to drive home.

That was the first time I've been in that situation and I hated every part of it...
